Helping Our Neighbors

Arts District Neighborhood Association

Helping our Neighbors!
In an effort to become a more caring community, we have researched
the following easy ways in which you can help our neighbors in the community!

Clothes Closet and Food Pantry

Bear Creek Community Church
2700 Finley Rd.

The Clothes Closet

The clothes closet gives away clothes for men, women and children.
The greatest needs are for large sized men’s clothing, both casual and business attire and women’s professional clothes which can be used for job interviews.
The clothes closet also takes donations of shoes.

The Food Pantry

The food pantry stores both dry goods and refrigerated items.
The biggest needs are for canned and fresh meats (tuna, chili, ground beef, etc).
They are also looking for baby formula (especially Infamil Lipil).
Additionally they are looking for ethnic foods (tortillas, beans, rice, etc).

Donations

Food and clothing donations can be made Mondays & Wednesdays from 8:30 to noon or Saturdays from 10am to noon.
For more information visit their ministry page on their website at www.bearcreekirving.org or call their offices at 972-257-0206.
For individuals needing help, the Clothes Closet/Food Pantry is open on Saturday’s from 10am-noon. Clients will need to provide IDs for everyone receiving help.

"Supermarket Good Neighbor Program"

Benefiting Irving Cares!

Kroger Plus Cards

When you shop at Kroger stores, scan your Kroger Share Card in addition to your Kroger Plus Card and a certain percentage of your purchase will go towards Irving Cares. Kroger Share Cards can be picked up at our General Meetings or send an email to Leigh Eitson at leitson@irvingcares.org and she will mail you a Kroger Share card.

Tom Thumb Rewards Cards

If you have a Tom Thumb Rewards card, simply go to the customer service counter at any Tom Thumb store and ask them to link your Reward Card with the Good Neighbor Number: 1012. This will link your card to Irving Cares so that a percentage of your purchase goes to Irving Cares.
